A Pittsburgh man escaped custody and led police on a foot chase early this morning throughout city’s west end before being caught at an auto shop.
It started around 6:00 this morning when police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 600 block of West New Castle Street.
During the search they found 33-year-old Ryan Gomez had over $1,000 cash in his pockets and numerous drugs throughout the apartment.
But while escorting Gomez out of the house—he broke free from officers and ran.
Police chased Gomez through the West End before finding him underneath a vehicle at an auto shop on Pillow Street.
Bond was set at $100,000 for Gomez.
