A Pittsburgh teen was jailed in Westmoreland County on charges of forcibly taking a woman’s car and nearly running her over in a parking lot at Idlewild Park & Soak Zon
Andre Evans Jr. is accused of approaching a woman in the lot Monday afternoon and putting her in a headlock. He allegedly demanded her cellphone and keys and used the remote control to locate it in the parking lot.
About three hours later, police in Somerset County found Evans sitting in a car matching the stolen vehicle’s description in the parking lot of Sandy’s Bar and Grill along rural Route 885.
Idewild officials say the incident is rare for the amusement park, which is the third oldest in the country.
