Pittsburgh International Airport will be the first major airport in the county to allow the public inside without a ticket since 9/11.
Starting Sept. 5th, the airport will allow visitors that do not have an airline ticket to enter previously passenger-exclusive zones. Visitors will be allowed inside the Airmall to shop and eat, and walk family to their gates. Access will be allowed Monday through Friday from 9am to 5 pm.
To get inside without a ticket, you’ll still have to go through security like you would if you were flying. You’ll also need a valid ID and to have your name vetted against the No Fly List.
