Pitt junior wide receiver Tyler Boyd and defensive end Ejuan Price were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference first team Monday. It was the second first-team selection for Boyd, who is the all-time leading Panther in receiving yards and receptions. Price had 11-1/2 sacks this season, including five in the Louisville game.
Penn State senior defensive end Carl Nassib was named to the Big Ten first team, and was named the league’s defensive player of the year. He led the nation this season with 15-1/2 sacks, a Penn State record.
The Pitt men’s basketball team will host number-11 Purdue tonight in an ACC-Big Ten Challenge game. The Panthers are 4-0 to start the season. Purdue is 6-0. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Tip-off is 9pm at the Petersen Events Center.
