The Pitt Panthers defeated North Carolina 34-27 in overtime last night at Heinz Field. It was the first time Pitt has defeated the Tar Heels since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Panthers improved to 7-3 overall, and 4-2 in the ACC. They will visit Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 24th. If the Panthers win their final two games, and Virginia Tech beats Virginia in their game on Friday, November 29th, Pitt will win the Coastal Division of the ACC for the second straight season.
The Slippery Rock University football team will travel to Kutztown Saturday for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship game. Kick-off is 12:05pm at Andre Reed Stadium. Hear the game on The Rock Station 97.7fm beginning with the Coach Shawn Lutz Show at 11:30am.
