The Pitt Panther men’s basketball team defeated Georgia Tech 89-84 Wednesday evening at the Petersen Events Center. Five Panthers scored in double figures. The victory was Pitt’s ninth in a row. They improved to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in the ACC. The Panthers visit Notre Dame Saturday.
The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team fell to East Stroudsburg 98-72 at Morrow Field House Wednesday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference cross-over play. The Rock fell to 8-7 overall. ESU improved to 10-3. The Rock women also fell to East Stroudsburg 78-71 and fell to 7-7.
