The Pitt men’s basketball team defeated Cornell 93-49 Wednesday at the Petersen Events Center. Jamel Artis led the Panthers with 21 points. Pitt is now 3-0, and are averaging better than 80 points per game to begin the season.
The Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team are off to a great start this season, and almost hosted an upset Wednesday at Morrow Field House. The Rock fell to number-21 ranked West Liberty 79-77. The non-conference defeat snapped a two-game winning streak for the Rock, who fell to 4-2.
