The Pitt Panthers defeated Virginia Tech 28-7 Saturday and have moved into the Associated Press Top 25 at number 23. It is the first time Pitt has reached the Top 25 since last September. Pitt will host unranked Clemson Saturday at Heinz Field. Kick-off is 3:30pm and the game will be televised on ESPN.
Cincinnati jumped to #2 in the latest A.P. poll behind Georgia, with Iowa falling out of the top 10 after they lost to Purdue. Oklahoma is now third, followed by Alabama and Ohio State. Idle Penn State is seventh. The Nittany Lions will host Illinois this Saturday for a noon kick-off.
