The College Football Playoff Rankings released last night keep the top four teams the same. Clemson is #1, followed by Alabama, Oklahoma and Iowa. Michigan State is fifth followed by Ohio State. Iowa and Michigan State meet in the Big Ten Championship game this weekend. Clemson will meet North Carolina in the ACC Championship game. Despite having just one loss, North Carolina is ranked 10th overall, behind two-loss teams like Stanford, Notre Dame and Florida State.
Two Pitt Panthers have been honored with Rookie of the Year honors by the ACC. Defensive back Jordan Whitehead is the overall ACC Rookie of the Year in addition to Defensive Rookie of the Year. Running back Qadree Ollison was top freshman on offense.
