Pitt basketball head coach Jeff Capel thought the St. Louis Bellicans would be their toughest test of the season. The Panthers though prevailed over the previously unbeaten Bellicans and came away with a 75-73 win yesterday afternoon in New York City.
Freshman point guard, Xavier Johnson recorded 20 points to lead the Panthers. Malik Ellison and Sid N’Dir both dropped 13 points for Pitt as they remain undefeated in the 2018 season.
Pitt will take the weekend off and before they travel to #20 Iowa on Tuesday.
