The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 5-0 Sunday, and lost three of the four games in the series with the Cardinals. Michael Wacha held the Pirates hitless into the ninth inning, before pinch-hitter Colin Moran broke up the no-hitter with a single. The Bucs ended the game with two hits. Pirates starting pitcher Nick Kingham allowed a first inning grand slam.
The Pirates are off today and host the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday. The Bucs are now 30-29 overall.
Former Pirates pitcher Bruce Kison died last week at the age of 68. He had been battling bone cancer.
