The Pittsburgh Pirates extended their winning streak to two after beating the St. Louis Cardinals on the road Saturday night by a final of 7-3.
Andrew McCutchen, Jordy Mercer, and Josh Harrison led the Bucs offensively. McCutchen finished with two hits and two runs, Harrison had two hits (one of which was a homerun) and two runs, and Mercer finished with a homerun and three RBI. Gerrit Cole pitched six innings, striking out five and allowing one run in route to his sixth win of thee season.
With the win, the Bucs improve to 35-40 on the season, and are four games out of first place in the NL Central.
