The Pittsburgh Pirates came from behind to defeat the Colorado Rockies 5-3 Sunday afternoon at PNC Park. The Rockies jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two home runs in the second inning, but the Pirates responded with a four-run sixth inning which featured an Oneil Cruz home run.
Aroldis Chapman and David Bednar closed out the game with Bednar earning his sixth save of the season.
The Pirates took two of three games in the series.
Pirates starting pitcher Bailey Falter pitched into the sixth inning. The only runs he allowed were the second inning round-trippers.
The Pirates open a three-game series with the Los Angeles Angels tonight at 6:40pm. WISR pre-game is 6:15pm.
