The Pittsburgh Pirates were swept by the Cincinnati Reds following a 4-0 loss Sunday. The Bucs managed just two hits in the game as Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene went seven shutout innings, striking out eight. With the loss, the Pirates fell to 5-11 overall.
The Pirates lost to the Reds 5-2 Saturday and 5-3 Friday in the series. They have returned home and host the Washington Nationals to open a four-game series tonight at PNC Park. Paul Skenes will start for the Bucs. Game time is 6:40pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:15pm.
Tonight’s game is the first of a seven-game homestand.
