The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Washington Nationals 3-1 Thursday and were swept in their four-game series. The Nationals scored all three of their runs on two home runs in the sixth inning of a scoreless game. Trevor Williams allowed the three runs on four hits to take the loss. Gregory Polanco had a double and drove in the Pirates only run.
The Bucs begin a three-game series in Milwaukee tonight. First pitch is 8:10pm. Pre-game on WISR is 7:45pm.

44-year old Ichiro Suzuki was released Thursday by the Seattle Mariners. He is not retiring at this time, but will become a special assistant with the club.
