The Pittsburgh Pirates ended their nine-game losing streak with an 11-4 victory last night in Cincinnati. Corey Dickerson hit two home runs in the game, and drove in five runs. Jose Osuna had a pinch-hit three run home run, and Starling Marte scored three times. Pirates starting pitcher Joe Musgrove earned his eighth win of the year, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings.
The game between the Bucs and Reds ended with a benches-clearing incident when Reds pitcher Amir Garrett charged the Pirates dugout in the ninth inning. Tensions have brewed between the two teams all season.
The two teams will complete their three-game series today at 12:35pm. Dario Agrazal will start for the Bucs. (2-1, 3.24 ERA). Luis Castillo will start for the Reds. (9-4, 2.71 ERA).
