The Pittsburgh Pirates snapped their six game losing streak on Saturday night, as they beat the visiting St. Louis Cardinals by a final of 6-4.
Chad Kuhl started on the mound for the Bucs. He pitched five complete innings, and gave up three hits and struck out six. Kuhl also hit a double in the win, which was the first extra base hit of his career. Adam Fraizer finished with three hits, including a double and a home run, and Starling Marte also collected three hits including a home run.
The Pirates and Cardinals will wrap up their four game series Sunday evening in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Williamsport is currently hosting the Little League World Series. First pitch for Sunday’s game is 7:05pm.
