The Pittsburgh Pirates broke their four game losing streak Saturday night with a 3-2 win on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Francisco Liriano pitched seven strong innings and received the win for the Pirates. Closer Mark Melancon secured his 47th save of the 2015 campaign, which is now a team record.
Offensively for the Pirates, Andrew McCutchen had two RBIs after a third inning double. McCutchen went on to score the winning run later in the game.
With the win, the Bucs still have a one game lead on the Chicago Cubs for the top Wild Card spot, and sit four games out of first place.
The Pirates will wrap up their three game series with the Dodgers Sunday afternoon at 4:10pm, before they travel to Colorado to face the Rockies.
