The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 6-2 last night, for their first victory at the Great American Ballpark in nine games there this season. It snapped a 13-game losing streak there. Mitch Keller started for the Bucs and pitched into the sixth inning for just his fifth victory of the season. He allowed both Cincinnati runs on seven hits. Ke’Bryan Hayes led the Pirates with three hits. Ben Gamel hit his eighth home run of the year.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 last night for their 10th win in a row. The Cards now lead the Cincinnati Reds by four games in the N.L. Wild Card race.
