The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed 42-year old left-handed starting pitcher Rich Hill to a one-year $8 million contract. Hill has a career 3.85 ERA in 350 major league games. He made 26 starts for the Boston Red Sox last season, going 8-7 with a 4.27 ERA. Hill, who has the nickname “Dick Mountain”, is currently the oldest player in the Major Leagues.
