The Pittsburgh Pirates added a familiar name to their bullpen earlier this weekend, signing pitcher Ryan Vogelsong.
Vogelsong, 38, and the Pirates agreed on a one-year deal Friday, which comes nine years after Vogelsong last pitched for the Pirates (2001-2006).
Since his time in Pittsburgh, Vogelsong won two World Series with the Gians (2012 and 2014), where he was a starter and reliever. Prior to joining the Giants in 2011, Vogelsong pitched in professional leagues in Japan for three years, and then pitched in 2010 for the Phillies and Angles.
