The Pittsburgh Pirates made their final roster cuts Monday in Florida. First baseman Jose Osuna and reliever Kyle Crick were sent to Triple-A Indianapolis and the Bucs decided to carry 13 pitchers into the season-opener Thursday in Detroit.
The Pirates lost 6-3 to Philadelphia Monday. Trevor Williams made his final start of the spring, allowing two earned runs in 2-1/3rd innings. He walked one and struck out five. The Pirates visit the Phillies in Clearwater today before heading to Detroit for their season opener Thursday.
