The Pittsburgh Pirates finished their season with a 10-4 loss in St. Louis. The Cardinals swept the Pirates, but still missed the National League Wild Card by one game. The Pirates finish their season 78-83.
The MLB playoffs begin this week:
–The New York Mets will host San Francisco Wednesday in the National League Wild Card game.
–Toronto will host Baltimore Tuesday in the American League Wild Card game.
