The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 15-2 last night to wrap-up their four-game series. Andrew McCutchen hit two home runs in the game, and the Pirates scored eight runs in the ninth inning with two outs to guarantee the victory. The Bucs hit five home runs in the game. McCutchen drove in three runs, as did Jordy Mercer and Sean Rodriguez. Pirate starter Chad Kuhl held the Phillies hitless into the fifth inning and earned the win. He allowed two earned runs on four hits over six innings to improve his record to 4-3.
The Bucs visit the Cincinnati Reds tonight. Ryan Vogelsong will start for the Pirates. First pitch is 7:10pm.
