The Pittsburgh Pirates play the first of two games in Milwaukee tonight. First pitch is 7:40pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 7:15pm. Ivan Nova will start tonight for the Bucs. Zach Davies will start for the Brewers, who are 2-1/2 games behind the first-place Chicago Cubs. Milwaukee enters the game 61-59 overall. The Pirates are 58-60 and 4-1/2 back. The Cubs defeated Cincinnati 15-5 last night. They lead St. Louis by 1-1/2 games.Game two tomorrow begins at 2:10pm. The Pirates return to PNC Park to begin a four-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals Thursday. The final game of that series will be played Sunday night in Williamsport, home of the Little League World Series.
The Washington, Pa. team was eliminated from the PONY World Series Monday after a 4-3 loss to Brownsville in extra innings. Brownsville gets Bay County Michigan in an elimination game today. Bay County fell to Covina, California 9-5 last night.
