The Milwaukee Brewers completed a three-game series sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates with an 8-3 victory last night at PNC Park. Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams was hit hard, allowing eight hits and six earned runs over his five innings. He allowed two home runs as his record fell to 4-5.
Starling Marte had two hits for the Pirates. Jacob Stallings hit his third home run of the season.
The Bucs, who have lost five in a row, are off today. They begin a weekend series in St. Louis tomorrow night.
