The 70th annual Little League World Series kicked off in Williamsport, Pa. Thursday. First round games saw New York defeat Rhode Island 7-2. Tennessee defeated Oregon 3-2. Panama beat Mexico 10-2 and Australia topped Italy 3-1. All of the World Series champions over the past 15 years did not lose a first round game.
