The Pittsburgh Pirates will complete their season this week at PNC Park. They host the Chicago Cubs for the first of three games tonight at 7:05pm. Mitch Keller will start for the Bucs. Kyle Hendricks will start for the Cubs. Pre-game on WISR will begin at 6:40pm.
With six games remaining in the season, the Cubs are four games out of a playoff spot. They are currently mired in a six-game losing streak. The Pirates enter tonight 65-91 overall and have lost nine games in a row.
The Pirates have lost more than 90 games for the first time since 2010.
St. Louis has clinched a playoff spot. Milwaukee is three games behind the Cardinals. The Brewers and Washington are currently the two Wild Card teams in the National League.
In the American League, Cleveland is a half game behind Tampa Bay for the final Wild Card. Oakland is currently the other A.L. Wild Card team.
