The Pittsburgh Pirates broke a nine-game losing streak in Milwaukee with a 3-2 victory in 10-innings last night against the Brewers. Andrew McCutchen hit a first inning home run and drove in all three runs. He had three of the Pirates seven hits. Starting pitcher Chad Kuhl allowed five hits and two earned runs while pitching into the seventh inning, but did not figure into the decision. Antonio Bastardo won the game in relief. Tony Watson pitched a perfect 10th inning for his eighth save.
The Bucs and Brewers meet again tonight at 8:10pm. Ryan Vogelsong will start for the Pirates.
