The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the New York Yankees 3-2 Sunday in Grapefruit League play. Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon did not allow a run or a hit in two innings of work. He did not walk a batter and struck out one. Alen Hanson went two for three. One of the Pirates top pitching prospects, Clay Holmes, struck out four batter in two scoreless innings. The Pirates are 7-3 overall and host the Yankees today. The game will be televised on Root Sports beginning at 1:05pm.
