The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the Cincinnati Reds in Cincinnati on Saturday, losing by a final of 3-0.
Jameson Taillon started on the mound for the Pirates. He pitched six innings, finishing with seven strikeouts while allowing all three runs. Three Pirates’ pitchers entered Saturday’s game, and combined for a total 12 strikeouts. Six different Pirates collected a hit in Saturday’s loss.
The Pirates, who are 81-79 overall, will close out the 2018 regular season on Sunday when they play the Reds. First pitch is scheduled for 3:10pm. This season is the first winning season for the Bucs since 2015.
