The Pittsburgh Pirates fell again to the visiting San Diego Padres on Saturday night, losing by a final of 6-2.
Leading the Pirates offensively were shortstop Jordy Mercer, who finished with three hits, one run, and one RBI, and Sean Rodriguez, who had one hit and one RBI. Newcomer Nick Kingham pitched six innings for the Bucs, and struck out five batters while giving up five hits and three runs.
