The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the first game of a 3 game series in Baltimore by a score of 6-3.
Pirates’ starter Johan Oviedo went 5 innings with 4 hits, 3 strikeouts, 5 walks and 1 earned run. The Pirates took the lead in the 7th inning on a Connor Joe home run, but were unable to hold on to the 2-1 lead.
For Baltimore Cedric Mullins finished a historic night in the 8th inning with a 3-run home run to put Baltimore up 6-2. With that home run Mullins became the 7th player in Oriole history to hit for the cycle.
