The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 last night at PNC Park. Colin Moran scored the Pirates lone run on a Francisco Cervelli double in the second inning. The Bucs stranded seven base runners in the game. Starting pitcher Trevor Williams took the loss. He allowed both runs on just four hits over seven innings. Williams walked one and struck out four.
Gregory Polanco had two hits in his second game back this season.

The Bucs and Diamondbacks play again tonight at 7:05pm. WISR pre-game is 6:40pm. Jordan Lyles is the starting pitcher for the Pirates.
The Pirates have placed reliever Nick Burdi on the 10-day Injured List. Initial diagnosis is that Burdi suffered a strained bicep on the mound Monday, but he will be getting a second opinion this week. The Pirates recalled Steven Brault to take Burdi’s place on the roster.
With his callup to the big league’s, shortstop Cole Tucker became the first Pirate since Jack Wilson in 2001 to have an extra-base hit in his first three Major League games. Tucker went hitless last night.
Outfielder Bryan Reynolds has had at least a hit in each of his first four games. He left last night’s game after leading off the fourth inning last night with left quad discomfort.
