The Pittsburgh Pirates fell on the road to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon, losing by a final of 10-4.
Leading the Bucs offensively was Starling Marte, who finished with two one-run homers. Josh Bell, Jose Osuna, Kevin Newman and Jung-ho Kang also finished with two hits each. Jordan Lyles was the starting pitcher for the Buccos on Saturday. He only lasted two-thirds of an inning, and allowed seven earned runs on four hits and four walks.
Following Saturday’s loss, the Bucs are in fourth place in the NL Central with an overall record of 44-47. They are also four and a half games out of first place.
