The Pittsburgh Pirates fell 2-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday at PNC Park. James Marvel made his major league debut for the Bucs, allowing both runs on four hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out two. Both teams had five hits in the game.
Pirates rookie outfielder Bryan Reynolds was hitless in four at-bats. He is now batting .327 this season, ten back in the National League batting race.
The Pirates open a four-game series with the San Francisco Giants tonight. First pitch is 9:45pm. WISR pre-game is 9:20pm. Trevor Williams will start for the Bucs. Madison Bumgarner will start for the Giants.
