The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the St. Louis Cardinals for the second time in a row on Saturday night, losing by a final of 4-3.
The Pirates were led offensively by third baseman Jung Ho Kang, who hit a three run homer in the first inning. As for the rest of the Pirates’ batting order, the unit collected a total of seven hits and 13 strikeouts. Chad Kuhl pitched five complete innings for the Pirates, giving up eight hits, two runs, and striking out five Cardinals batters.
