The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-3 last night at PNC Park. Pirates starting pitcher Max Kranick took the loss, allowing six earned runs on 10 hits over five innings.
Rookie second baseman Rodolfo Castro made MLB history with two home runs in the game, becoming the first player to have five home runs in his first five career hits. He topped Colorado shortstop Trevor Story, who had four home runs with his first four career hits. Rookie Ke’Bryan Hayes also had two of the Pirates six hits last night.
The Bucs and Brewers complete their three-game series tonight at 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:40pm.
