The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night by a score of 4-3
Pirates’ starter JT Brubaker gave up 3 runs over 5 innings while striking out 6 batters. Diego Castillo hit his 10th home run of the season in the 4th inning, which is third among rookies in the National League. Bryan Reynolds also recorded 3 hits in the game.
The Pirates had the tying run on base in the 9th inning. Daniel Vogelbach hit a single that brought home Oneil Cruz, but on the same play Kevin Newman was thrown out at the plate to end the game.
