The Pittsburgh Pirates lost 2-1 in 11-innings to the Philadelphia Phillies Sunday. The Bucs have now lost seven of their nine games following the All-Star break. Starting pitcher Dario Agrazal allowed one run on three hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out five. Chris Stratton allowed a home run to Rhys Hopkins in the 11th inning which decided the game. The Pirates had left Adam Frazier stranded at third base with one out in the 10th.
Melky Cabrera had two of the Pirates six hits. The team struck out 13 times in the game. Rookie Bryan Reynolds struck out four times in five at-bats.
The Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals for the next four games at PNC Park. Game time tonight is 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR is 6:40pm. Trevor Williams will start for the Pirates.
The Bucs are 7-1/2 games behind first-place Chicago in the National League Central, and have fallen 5-1/2 games back in the Wild Card race. They are currently 46-52 overall.
