The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 last night at PNC Park. It was their seventh loss in a row. The only run scored in the game was a home run by the Brewers in the fourth inning. Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams took the loss. He allowed one run on three hits over five innings. Williams walked two and struck out six. The Bucs and Brewers complete their three-game series tonight at 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:40pm.
In the Major League Baseball playoff chase, the Brewers gained a game on the Colorado Rockies for the final National League Wild Card spot. The Rockies fell to the San Francisco Giants 4-3 last night. Milwaukee is now one game back. The Cubs won last night, and still lead the Brewers by 3-1/2 games.
