The Pittsburgh Pirates’ losing streak is now at four games, after dropping Saturday’s game to the Chicago Cubs on the road by a final of 4-3.
Jordy Mercer provided most of the offense for the Bucs, registering two of the team’s eight hits, and scoring twice. The rest of the Pirates’ batting order did not produce much, as they left 17 runners on base, and struck out a combined ten times.
With the loss, the Pirates drop to two games under .500 (33-35).
The Buccos will be back in action tonight, wrapping up their series with the Cubs before returning home for a four game series against the Giants. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM. First pitch tonight is set for 8:08pm.
