The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 Thursday afternoon, taking two of three games in their series. Mitch Keller allowed two runs over his six innings of work, and tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts. Bryan Reynolds led the Bucs with two hits. Connor Joe and Rodolfo Castro hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning.
The Bucs have now won nine of their last 10 games, and improved to 18-8 overall. They have the second-best record in baseball.
The Pirates open a three-game series in Washington tonight. First pitch is 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:40pm.
