The Pittsburgh Pirates lost 15-3 to the Minnesota Twins yesterday. Jared Jones made the start after Bailey Falter was scratched. Jones one run on three hits while pitching into the sixth inning of the game. He walked two and struck out four. The Pirates bullpen allowed 14 runs in two innings after Jones left the game. David Bednar allowed five earned runs in just 1/3rd of an inning. Bednar had pitched three scoreless innings over his previous three appearances.
The Pirates host the Detroit Tigers tonight for a night game in Bradenton. First pitch is 6pm.
The Bucs host Baltimore Saturday at 1:05pm. They face the New York Yankees Sunday in Tampa at 1pm.
