The Pittsburgh Pirates scored six runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat the Padres 10-6.
The game did not get started on time as rain moved through the area right at game time. The game was delayed for a little over two hours before the first pitch was thrown out. Gregory Polanco hit a three run home run into the Allegheny River to give the Pirates a one run lead in the 7th and Josh Harrison hit a two RBI single to left field to put away the Padres.
Gerrit Cole will get the start for the Pirates tonight as they play the Padres again at PNC Park. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Coverage on WISR 680 am gets underway at 6:40 p.m. with the pregame show.
