Leading the Pirates offensively were outfielder Gregory Polanco (2 hits, 1 run, 2RBI), catcher Francisco Cervelli (2 hits and 2 runs), and third baseman Colin Moran (4 hits, 1 run, 1 RBI). Jameson Taillon pitched six innings, giving up five hits and one run while striking out eight.
