The Pittsburgh Pirates were victorious over the Atlanta Braves last night by a final of 8-4.
Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer continued his recent success at the plate, adding two RBI’s to his stat line in the game. He also hit the walk-off double in extra innings against the Braves on Friday night.
Early in the game though, Pirates’ superstar Andrew McCutchen was hit on the elbow by an Atlanta Braves’ pitcher. He left the game with an undisclosed injury. It is unclear on when he will return to the starting lineup.
