The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-6 last night at PNC Park. Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes three runs on six hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out eight. His record improved to 3-0. Nick Gonzales led the Bucs with two hits while driving in four runs. The Bucs scored seven runs in the second inning.
During the game Skenes and reliever Aroldis Chapman threw a total of 28 pitches at least 100 miles per hour. Chapman threw the fastest pitch in the majors this season during his seventh inning appearance when he reached 104.
The Bucs and Dodgers complete their series tonight at 6:40pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:15pm. Bailey Falter will start for the Pirates.
