The Pittsburgh Pirates host the Chicago Cubs tonight in the National League Wild Card game at PNC Park. First pitch is set for 8:08pm. Pre-game can be heard on WISR 680am beginning at 7:40pm. Gerrit Cole (19-8, 2.60 ERA) will start for the Pirates. Jake Arrieta (22-6, 1.77 ERA) for the Cubs. The Pirates have gone 8-1 in Cole’s nine career starts against the Cubs. Cole and Arrieta have thrown a combined 61 1/3rd innings against their opponents this season, and have not allowed a home run. The winner of tonight’s game will meet the Cardinals in St. Louis Friday to begin their National League Divisional Series. The Pirates face the Cards in the 2013 NLDS. The Cubs have never faced St. Louis in the post-season.

Last night, Houston defeated the New York Yankees 3-0 in the American League Wild Card game. Dallas Keuchel threw six scoreless innings for Houston.
