The Pittsburgh Pirates return from the All-Star break tonight in Washington. Francisco Liriano will start for the Bucs. Gerrit Cole is expected to return from the disabled list and start Saturday. Rookie Chad Kuhl will start Sunday’s game. Jameson Taillon should return from the disabled list soon and re-join the rotation. Tyler Glasnow has been sent back to Triple-A Indianapolis. Game time tonight is 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 6:40pm.
Pirate catcher Francisco Cervelli and pitcher Ryan Vogelsong are both beginning minor league rehab assignments.
The Butler BlueSox also return from the Prospect League All-Star break tonight. They will visit West Virginia tonight and Saturday, then return home for a throw-back game Sunday. Butler Media Group night is next Wednesday at the ballpark when the BlueSox host Lafayette.
